Father, Make Them One

Father, Make Them One

I’m praying not only for them But also for those who will believe in me Because of them and their witness about me.The goal is for all of them to become one heart and mind—Just as you, Father, are in me and I in you, So they might be one heart and mind with us. Then the world might believe that you, in fact, sent me. John 17: 20, 21 (MSG)

What America calls a melting pot. God calls the body of Christ. Only God could take people from multi-ethnic groups, from different cultures and from different races and make them one. Did you get that, well I am going to say it again. One!!! Just as He and the Son are one. We are the body of Christ and whether you asked for it or not, we are called to be united. We must put all difference aside and live in harmony. Everything that was not in harmony in heaven got kicked out. So when we finally make it to heaven, we will all live in unity. So let practice and get a glimpse of what is to come. We are believers in Christ. We need to check on each other, pray for each other, cry with each other and desire what is best for each other. It is these type of things that the world does not understand. It is foreign to them, but we are from a foreign land. Guess what? It is these foreign actions that causes them to see that Jesus was sent by the Father. So today contact someone in the body that you have  never communicated with before and let them know that you are thinking about them. I promise you will make their day. You will also make the world curious

Let us be united See each other through your eyes May we forgive our brother. We see you risen No longer on an old rugged cross Lord, may your glory fill us. Make us one heart Make us one mind Make us one Let your will be done.Make us one flame To proclaim your name Make us one.~ Phil Driscoll
